Yes — here, the homepage is today's puzzles and the puzzles just play: no account, nothing to download, no adverts interrupting the sudoku. Too much of the puzzle world now stands between you and the grid — create an account, confirm your email, dismiss three pop-ups, watch an advert — and we think that's a poor welcome, especially for anyone who didn't grow up wrestling websites.

Almost nothing, because we hold almost nothing: puzzle progress is stored on your own device, not on our servers, and the only thing we ever ask for is an email address — only if you want the daily email or printable pack, used for exactly that and nothing else.
