Privacy, in plain English

The short version
We collect almost nothing. Your puzzle progress stays on your own device. The only personal information we ever hold is an email address — and only if you choose to give us one for the daily email or the printable pack. We don’t run advertising, we don’t use tracking cookies, and we never sell or share your details.
Your puzzle progress
Which puzzles you’ve finished, your streak, and your text-size preference are stored in your browser’s own storage (“localStorage”), on your device. This never leaves your device and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Your email address (only if you give it)
If you sign up for the daily puzzle email or unlock the printable pack, we store your email address, the date, and which form you used. It is used for exactly one thing: sending the puzzle email you asked for. Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link; unsubscribing stops the emails immediately. If you’d like your address deleted entirely rather than just unsubscribed, ask via the contact page and we’ll remove it.
Emails are delivered by Resend (our email provider), which processes your address on our behalf for that purpose only. Our records are stored on servers in the European Union.
What we don’t do
- No advertising and no advertising trackers
- No analytics cookies — we don’t follow you around the web
- No selling, renting or sharing of your details with anyone
- No accounts, so there’s no password of yours to lose
Messages you send us
If you write to us via the contact page, we keep your message and email address for as long as it takes to deal with it, then it is simply old correspondence. We’ll only use your address to reply.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Given that the most we ever hold is an email address and a signup date, this is a quick job — use the contact page and we’ll sort it.
